Dear Ms. Falk,

I want to express my appreciation for the invaluable support you provide to our men and women in uniform. As a member of the "America Supports You" team, your organization helps strengthen the bonds between our military and the Americans they serve.

Thank you for letting service members and their families know how much their fellow Americans value their courage, commitment and sacrifice.

Your thoughtfulness, and everything else you are doing, means a great deal.

Sincerely,

Donald Rumsfeld

From Brig. General Sidney Baumgarten

Vice President of SOS America, Inc.

I look forward to officially welcoming Wounded Warriors to our Country Retreat in S. Texas. Kathryn, Lady Barrow is a geat hostess and I know that you will experience VIP treatment-- all amenities including comfortable pillow top beds, night swims under Texas stars, and sitting around the campfire! And I must mention that famous fried turkey (sounds greasy, but it's not!) and bison from Montana, served with freedom fries cooked in truffle oil! To quote some of the female members of SOS America, Inc. -- "the homemade marshmallows are to die for!'

Kathryn may not have mentioned it, but if you haven't been on a hay ride lately, she can hitch up a wagon in no time! The veterans in the S. Texas area are available as guides to show you Galveston Island or visit the NASA space center. Astronomers will come out on the nights of the new moon with the latest viewing equipment. The local Barbershop quartette and country western singers are happy to drop by and entertain.

If you like to play poker, there's often a friendly game going on. Or perhaps you'd just like to relax in a chair with your spouse or friend and watch the sun set. (I'm told that Kathryn's imported single malt scotch tastes good at that hour!)

Kathryn and I have visited Walter Reed and we have met the bravest Americans. We know what they are enduring and we hope that an invitation to our Country Retreat will help them through their months of therapy. We'll be ready to whisk them away to S. Texas when they can travel. Our members often like to accompany recovering soldiers to Texas and/or meet up with them.

We are proud that our organization is able to provide a special holiday setting for these deserving young people. Our goal is to show them how much we appreciate their sacrifices and patriotism on behalf of our nation.
