Meet
one of the soldiers we will be entertaining
at the SOS America Country Spa. Crystal
corresponded with SOS America member,
Kelley Granzow, before her near fatal
accident in Iraq. Both Kelley, who flies
in from Ohio, and author Sophia Nash,
who lives in Washington, DC., visit
Crystal as often as possible. According
to them, Crystal is the bravest woman
they've ever known.

Hello
to All.....
Well some of you may already know from
yahoo messenger, but for those of you
who don't....I walked on both feet today
for the first time. With the assistance
of a walker I walked about half a mile.
I am totally siked about it. On other
news. I just got back from Con. Leave.
Had a blast and damn sure didn't want
to come back up here. But got to do
what has to be done.
While I was home my dad and I checked
out Ft Gordon in Augusta Ga, (about
2 hours from home) they have better
equipment, facilities, and doctors there.
Plus it is so much closer to home. I
much rather be close to home while doing
the rest of my therapy. So after I am
done with the up coming surgeries I
am going to try my damn est to get transferred
down there.
The surgeries ahead.... I have one on
the 21st of this month. They are going
to revise my stump cuz the tibia bone
is practically sticking out of my skin.
So they will shave it down and pull
the muscle from underneath and cushion
the tibia bone. And during that surgeries
if they think that I am ready then they
will loosen the Halo on my left leg
so that they can tell if my bones are
strong enough to hold me up with out
it. Then the next surgery will be to
remove it. 6 months with this damn thing
on my leg I am ready to get rid of it.
Well that is pretty much it. I think
that I have covered everything. Hope
all is well with all of y'all. And I
hope to hear from you soon. Some of
y'all I will see soon I hope. Like the
54Th Jan or Feb I am planning my trip
to Germany to see ya. Depending on when
I can take leave that time. Miss all
